Carers Voice

Apollo Project

The Apollo Project is a workforce programme designed to address recruitment and retention challenges faced within the health and social care sector. Whether you are looking to start a career in health and social care or are currently volunteering and wish to advance, Apollo is can assist you in finding fulfilling work in this diverse and expanding field.

The project offers:

  • Practical, individual mentoring
  • Free places on the hands-on Essential Skills in Care Course, designed to provide you with the essential knowledge and skills needed in the sector
  • Skill-building workshops for career readiness
  • Personalised employment assistance including job interview support
  • Support and guidance from experienced job coaches, helping to address any gaps in your skills by providing tailored support to find work in the health and social care sector

Many unpaid Carers also work within the health and social care sector, with 1 in 3 NHS Staff also providing unpaid Care. If you are wanting support with employment, finding a course or exploring job opportunities within health and social care, the Apollo project at your local college may be able to help.
